Holiday Adventures in Majorca
The sunny island of Majorca (Mallorca) has been a very popular destination for tourists. Visitors of Majorca are highly encouraged to visit and explore the beautiful east coastline, which consists of more than fifty captivating secluded coves that are very beautiful.
Two popular resorts located on the north east coast of the island are CanPirafort and Alcudia. In this huge bay area you will find some of the most unique Majorca villas that offer a very good selection of apartments with pools to rent. Puerto Pollensa, which is located on the northern part of Cap de Formentor is a favorite tourist spot for bikers, walkers, and bird watchers. The mountain range that is very close to Serra de Tramuntana located on Mallorca’s North West coast and is very attractive – there is quite a difference between the two areas. The east coast presents a more gentle area, while the mountain range is covered with rugged terrain and mountain peaks. Car rental is available and is highly recommended, and sometimes included, in all inclusive Majorca deals.
The city of Palma is considered the central attraction of Majorca. It features all night bars and all day breakfasts. One of the first things you will notice is how very busy and crowded the streets are. The population of Palma is over six hundred thousand people, which makes up over half of the islands residents. The city of Palma goes way back to Roman times and very often Roman remains are still found under the ground. It has just recently been rebuilt, but it is still highly recommended and should be on the list for anyone planning holidays in Majorca. It should be mentioned that Palma does not have its own beach, but that is not a problem for visitors since the nearest beach is just four miles away located just to the east and west of the city.
Since the beginning of tourism in the nineteen sixties, Majorca has and continues to be a very good choice to spend your holiday at, offering a huge range of things for just about everybody. For the younger generation who usually prefer the night life the south coast would be the place to go for a very different and exciting vacation.
